Sweet Meadow

Here's the cards I made with this month's Project of the Month from Craftwork Cards - the paper collection is called Sweet Meadow - very apt because it contains the sweetest of papers - they're very romantic and so so pretty.

The first card is a very simple easel card - I didn't have to do much with this one has the papers have done all the work for me. I've just added the bunting, lace, butterflies and sentiment to the main part.

Here you can see how I've added Card Candi underneath of the decorative strip and self adhesive pearls to the top.

I love cards with a main focal image so Warren was the perfect one for this card. I love the delicate florals surrounding Warren so this one really worked well with the papers.

How simple is this next card! Just three layers of the roses that have been cut from the decorative papers and the addition of a message.
I've saved my favourite card 'til last. These papers were just screaming Wedding to me so this romantic Lili of the Valley image and the gorgeous Prima roses were the perfect 'match' for the more muted colours of this dp. The photograph really doesn't do the card justice and you can't see the beautiful embossing on the fabulous paper either.

If you'd like more inspiration the rest of the Design Team have been busy with the same set of papers so why not pop on over to Craftwork Cards Blog to see what they've all been making.

We're all really excited too as Craftwork Cards have been invited to join up with Spellbinders in their Cross Promotional Partnership to get creative with their Card Candi and Spellbinders Dies.

The DT have been sent a selection of dies to work with as well as being able to use any other spellbinders dies they already own to create cards and other projects for inspiration. We can even use any of the products from the other Cross Promotional Partners too so I'm raiding my stash to see what else I can add to the pile!

There will be lots of inspiration added to Craftwork Cards Blog over the coming weeks and there'll also be the chance of winning some Spellbinders dies too!

Right I'm off to make myself a cuppa now - I'm not used to doing these mega posts - hope you all kept up with me lol and thanks for looking in.

DCM - Schooldays

It's Keryn's turn to set the dare this week at Daring Cardmakers. Keryn's over in New Zealand and the kids over there are just about to return to school after 7 weeks holiday. So as the mum's are about to get their life back to normal she has set a dare as follows:-

To celebrate this I want you all to create cards using the theme of school. If you've got children at school what they're up to might inspire your card, if not maybe memories of your own school days might be your inspiration.

My card:-

All lettering, blackboard and the kids images created using Clip Art from Hallmark Card Studio
Lined Background Paper found in my bit box
Computer Generated Sentiment
Star Punch
