This is the card I've made for this week's theme of Candy Cane Red & White and if you look real close you will see the little stocking contains a candy cane too.

Winter Wonderland - Burgundy and Teal

Over at Winter Wonderland this week we're having a colour theme - Burgundy and Teal. We're also announcing our two new DT members Sue and Danielle - welcome aboard girls!

There's a story behind my card this week - I try to get a little ahead on the DT stuff and always try and do things in the proper order. So last week we had a fabulous sketch to use and I made a card for it. This week saw the Burgundy and Teal theme. I was really struggling to find the papers etc. and didn't think I was going to get a card finished.... until I looked at the one I'd just done - yep it was this one and it was burgundy and teal so I made another one for the sketch last week and kept this one for this week. Hence the sketch again! Funny how things turn out lol.

I haven't posted any photos of the weather so far but I had to show you this magnificent icicle that's hanging from our guttering and I have nicknamed it 'The Sword of Damocles' - hope no-one's stood under it when it falls lol. Winter Wonderland - Colour Challenge - Cinnamon, Lime and Berry

I'd like to start by wishing you all a Very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Over at Winter Wonderland we're starting the year off with a colour challenge - we want to see you use Cinnamon, Lime and Berry.

We also understand that a lot of you will be fed up of making Christmas cards so it's not compulsory - make whatever you want so long as it contains the colours. Personally I'm going to try and stick with the Christmas themes as last year I started making my cards when Winter Wonderland was launched in May and I am so glad I did as I was well prepared come December 2009.
