Daring Cardmakers - Pound Shop Challenge

Our lovely Samm has set the Dare for us this week over at Daring Cardmakers:-

"POUND SHOP PRETTIES"

She'd like you to search out those pound shops or dollar stores and find new things to add to your stash - then create a card using your new found bargains!! Don't forget to let us know what you've used and then we know what to search for when we're next in 'town'!

Here's my card:-

Bunny Head Bubble Sticker from Poundland

(from a set of 2 sheets of bubble stickers - one pink one yellow that contained loads of cat, dog, bunny, bird and heart stickers - great for the kids!)

Bunny Body is from an image by Tigerfrogg. I printed it without the head so that I could attach the sticker to it. I then fluffed the image up by adding some Flower Soft.

Delicious Doodles Challenge #13

Glitz, Glamour, Shimmer and Bling are the elements required for this weeks Delicious Doodles Challenge. My second celebration card has been glitzed up with Stickles and Glamour Dust and I've added a few gems too. It's the same design as my first one here but love how the papers give it a much younger feel.

Allsorts - Inspired by Nature

This is my card for Allsorts Challenge where they want us to be

INSPIRED BY NATURE

It is totally inspired too by the inking and stamping talents of these three ladies:-

Brenda, Paula and Lisa

and I'm really quite pleased with how it's turned out.

I made a mask by die cutting a large circle from a piece of scrap paper and then fixed the 'waste' over the card and sponged Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Inks. The stamps I've used are from Elusive Images (sadly no longer with us) 'Wild Meadow' and 'Patchwork Butterfly' theme plates - I used Black Memento Ink and I used my Stampin' Up Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I got the images exactly where I wanted them.

The best part about this card is that it only took about 15 minutes to complete - that is definitely a record for me!

Daring Cardmakers - Steampunk

Rein has set a fabulous challenge for us over at Daring Cardmakers this week:-

It's a theme that Rein is rather an expert in and the rest of us were somewhat scared! But a challenge is a challenge and this is one I think we've all really enjoyed after doing a bit of research into what it was all about! It did help me a lot when I found the Steampunk Debutante Papers from Graphic 45 though lol.

Meljens Design Challenge - Happy Birthday

My former DT Buddy Joey saved the day for me today!!! I've a couple of special birthdays coming up and when I saw the card she had made for Meljen's Challenge this week I knew that was the perfect image for me to use. I have got some cupcake stamps but this image really oozes celebration so I just had to get it. Thanks Joey! I've made the first of my cards so I'm going to enter it into the challenge too which is to make a Birthday Card which must include a Birthday Sentiment!

Penny Black Saturday and Funky Hand Challenges

I've managed to combine 2 challenges with this card - it's something I don't often do as I'm a big believer in one card for one challenge - however if there are different elements and specifications from each of the challenges I think that's when it's fair to combine.

The first challenge is Penny Black Saturday where the theme is:-

Daring Cardmakers - Flowers for February

It's the first Friday of the month so this week over at Daring Cardmakers we'd like you to take inspiration from the flowers associated with the month of February.

February's flowers are the Violet and the Primrose.

The colours associated with them are shades of Violet, Sky Blue and Yellow and the traditional meaning of the flowers are Modesty, Faithfulness, Virtue and Young Love.
