Daring Cardmakers - Ice and Snow

I've been really bad at blogging and 'catching up' with everyone this week but life is just getting in the way of my crafting at the moment! It's going to be like this for a couple more weeks at least so please forgive me if I don't manage to get round to everyone - I'm hoping to get back to normal asap!

So onto this weeks Dare and our lovely Keryn has set a challenge to take the chill off the lovely sunny weather we've been having recently:-

Ice and Snow

As it's rather cold over in the Southern Hemisphere right now I want you to share in the chill. Make your cards using the theme of 'Ice and Snow'. You could showcase winter sports, icy colours or even icy emotions on your card and it would fit the theme beautifully.

Daring Cardmakers - A Sponsored Sketch

Over at Daring Cardmakers this week we're being sponsored by the lovely Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker. I used the "Willow Bee" Collection

This is my little goodie bag that I will be offering as a prize to one lucky person (picked at random) who has joined in with the Dare and leaves me a comment here this week.

I've split 3 of the 6x6 paper collections and you get 2 sheets of each of the papers in each book. There's a Pocket of Treats, some Buttons, Brads, Bread(less) Tabs and half a packet of Craft Flags. I've tried to give you a good selection of what's left of the papers and stuff that I got to work with.

The flower is made up of layers of the scallop circles that you get in the kits - Scrunch each circle and then open out and ink the edges. Hold them all together with a brad and then shape each layer to form the flower.

Daring Cardmakers - The World is Your Oyster

Our lovely Kathy has set the Dare over on Daring Cardmakers this week and what a Dare it is:-

The World is Your Oyster

I'd like you to celebrate all the amazing and diverse countries and cultures we have in this world of ours by making cards with a "feel" of any country you like. There's a whole world of possibilities out there, so don't just go for the obvious {wink}

You can take your inspiration from the colours, style, patterns, maybe the food or national costume etc - rather than showing images etc of that place (though you could do that if you wanted).
The Football World Cup starts today, so perhaps if you're desperate (I hate football, but don't let that stop you...hehe) checking out the teams that have reached the finals might give some ideas too.

Winter Wonderland - Love at Christmas

Over at Winter Wonderland this week Marianne is celebrating her Wedding Anniversary so she wants to see some 'Love' on our cards.

I've used the 'Judith's' skeleton tree stamp and added lots of punched out tiny hearts and holly that I highlighted with a white gel pen.
