DCM Patterned Paper Challenge

Hi everyone, as Ive only been in blogland a couple of weeks Ive never been able to enter into any of the card challenges before, so now that I am it's about time I had a go ....

This is the challenge set by Daring Cardmakers:-

Patterned Paper Passion

I want to see 3 different patterned papers on your card. And to be extra daring, why not see if you can use 3 different lines of paper!

I used 3 different patterned papers but only used 2 different lines! The green spotty and striped paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle and the pink paper is from DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies stack. Hope this is the first of many dares to come. Just hope I can successfuly put a link to the card on DCM's blog lol.

Happy Valentines

Here's a couple of Valentine Cards I made using Magnolia Stamps. I absolutely adore these stamps and am building up quite a large collection of them!!!

The background paper was a piece I found in my stash, I stamped over it with the flourish stamp and distressed and inked the edges. I used nestabilities to cut out the main image and punched holes in each of the scallops. I added a sizzix flourish and finished the card with a variety of flowers, foliage, card candy, "LOVE" letters and a heart shaped gem.

Papers on this one are from the Chemistry collection by Cosmo Cricket. I don't think it really needs any instructions - I just matted and layered various components from these gorgeous papers and added the stamped images, Tim Holtz Adage Ticket and flower embelishment.

I might have to send this one to Mark - that way I get to keep it hehehe.

Fab Fern Punches

They've finally arrived - all the way from America. I love making cards with flowers on but also like to have a bit of foliage too just to balance things out. I trawled the internet and finally found exactly what I wanted - these punches. I just had to have a play lol.

This is what Ive made in the last couple of days.

Papers are by Daisy Bucket, stamp is by Penny Black, Ive used a selection of Prima and other flowers that I have in my stash, the 8 x 8 card is from Craftwork Cards and another big favourite of mine at the moment is of course the card candy also from Craftwork Cards. They really do finish the whole thing off nicely.

I made this with the left over paper from the "Mam" card. Stamps are "Solidago Sprig" by Rubber Stampede and text stamp is from Crafty Individuals. 8 x 8 card and card candy from Craftwork Cards.

21st Birthday Card

A friend asked me if I could make a special 21st Birthday card for her daughter. The brief was:- she likes fashion, shoes and handbags, can it be bright and funky. This is what I came up with.

It was inspired by the card I made for Nancy's workshop. Papers are from the Blossoms and Butterflies stack by DCWV, Stamp is "light the night" by Penny Black.

Nancy's Workshop

During one of my many blog hops I came across a lovely workshop that was being hosted by Nancy from The Netherlands. I absolutely loved the card she was creating so decided to have a go myself and this is my version. It's so clean, crisp and bright - I will be making more am sure. I used the new 8" x 8" square cards from Craftwork Cards so its a big un. I love it. The stamp is by Penny Black.

It's all Kirsty's fault!!!

It’s all Kirsty Wiseman’s fault lol. Well you’ve gotta blame someone haven’t you. Just went along to a class at Craftwork Cards and took a few cards I’d made and here we are – blogging! Me!

Kirsty asked me if I would make a few cards using her “new product” – I was absolutely flabbergasted but flattered at the same time. She urged me to create my own blog to “show off” what I make.

So here I go……… I hope you like my creations.

This is one I've plundered from the archives. I love this stamp - its called "Collecting Sea Shells" by Stamps Happen, so I thought it deserved to be the first pic of hopefully, many to come.
