Daring Cardmakers - Ice and Snow

I've been really bad at blogging and 'catching up' with everyone this week but life is just getting in the way of my crafting at the moment! It's going to be like this for a couple more weeks at least so please forgive me if I don't manage to get round to everyone - I'm hoping to get back to normal asap!

*******

Before I go onto this week's dare at Daring Cardmakers I'd like to announce the winner of my prize from last week's special sketch dare - a huge thank you to all who took part and visited me and left a comment. There were 7 commenters who qualified for my prize so I put the names into a pot and my lovely Mark picked out the winner:-

***Congratulations***
could you please e-mail me with your address details and I'll get your prize in the post as soon as possible (look in 'my profile' for my e-mail).

I'd also like to show you another card I made with my favourite 'WillowBee' papers from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker :-

Don't the papers work so well with this Penny Johnson 'I love honey' Image from Stampavie?

********

So onto this weeks Dare and our lovely Keryn has set a challenge to take the chill off the lovely sunny weather we've been having recently:-

Ice and Snow
As it's rather cold over in the Southern Hemisphere right now I want you to share in the chill. Make your cards using the theme of 'Ice and Snow'. You could showcase winter sports, icy colours or even icy emotions on your card and it would fit the theme beautifully.

Here's my card:-

Image from Stampin' Up 'Silent Night'
Sentiment Stamp - Hero Arts
Brown Staz On Ink Pad
Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad
Papers - Basic Grey 'Wassail' Collection
Bazzill Bling Card Stock
Lots of Frosted Lace Stickles
Snowflake Punch (which has sadly died on me)

I'm sorry about the photograph on this one but it really doesn't look that depressing in real life lol.

  6. I love both of these cards - those Willow Bee papers are gorgeous I didn't get the paper pad, but did get some of the 12x12 cut-up sheets to play with.
Love the DCM card - I love the vintage effect you've achieved, Lynda, it really does make you shiver (even though it's boiling hot today)
