Penny Black Saturday - Indian Summer

Over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge they're having an Indian Summer! I chose to use lovely warm Autumn Oranges with a lovely Summery Image. This is one of the purchases I made at PB Stamps after winning my 15% lifetime discount a few weeks ago. I've got to say the service was brilliant and you were informed at every stage of the transaction and the parcel arrived just over a week after I placed the order. So thank yous all round!

Daring Cardmakers - OOOPS I Forgot!

It's our lovely Keryn's turn to set the Dare this week over on Daring Cardmakers - I'll let her explain what it is lol:-

Hi it's Keryn here and the theme of this weeks dare came from the fact that I was really naughtly and forgot it was my turn and didn't give the design team a lot of notice of my dare. So this week we are making cards that say SORRY for anything, forgetting a birthday, forgetting it was my turn to set the dare, anything you like really.

Daring Cardmakers - There's Something in the Air

I can't believe Friday has come around again and so quickly - it will soon be

My theme is All Up in the Air, really ;-)

I'd like to see the main elements of your card being things that fly, flutter, hover or waft about "up there" in the sky.

I just love how this little mouse seems to be floating down on a snowflake.

Ooh-la-la!

I just wanted to share a couple of cards I've made with the new 'Ooh-la-la' papers from Craftwork Cards.

I used my new Little Claire Designs Amazing Frames to cut the main shape on the first card and then used the left over on the second card - this paper is just too lovely to waste lol. My second card is very Kath inspired - think it needs something else but just can't think what so it'll stay like this until I decide. If you've any ideas please let me know.

Scallop Circle is the smallest of my newly acquired Little Claire Designs Amazing Frames - the smallest of the frames start at just a little larger than the largest Nestabilities and the largest is just about big enough to fill the full 15cm x 15cm square card - they really are amazing and were a 'must have' when I saw them at the GNPE at Harrogate on Saturday. I bought more Penny Black Stamps and Craftwork Cards have got some absolutely stunning new papers - needless to say they dropped into my shopping bag too!!!

Daring Cardmakers - Mask-erade

It's our lovely Lythan's turn to set the Dare this week over on Daring Cardmakers and she's chosen:-

Masks

Now you could make a card featuring a mask; or use a masking technique for stamping or use a mask to spray or paint on. the decision is yours.

I chose to use a masking technique.

Here's my card:-

Magnolia Stamps - Trees and Snowy

Firstly I stamped Snowy and then stamped him again onto some scrap paper and cut this out to form a 'mask'. I placed the mask over Snowy and then stamped the Trees . I made a mask with the Tree stamp and then placed both Masks over their images and used Distress Inks around the images and over the rest of the card. I coloured the images with ProMarkers and then added Fluffy Stuff and Glitter for the snow effects. Snowflakes are peel offs and the sentiment is computer generated and punched out with a Stampin' Up punch.
