DCM Challenge - fish and/or frog

This week's challenge is:-

I want to see a fish or a frog on your cards.

Apart from that, it's all up to you what you make!

I've so enjoyed making this card. I bought this sizzix die 'cos I liked it but have never used it (Fish #2 sizzlits). So it was perfect for today's challenge. My own little fish tank! The other 2 fishes are Magnolia stamps and the seaweed is a Creative Expressions stamp. Ive used DCWV cardstock and paper is Basic Grey. Ive done a bit of collage at the bottom of the card using flower soft, micro beads, some tiny shells then finished off with stickles and diamond glaze. Other items used - Cuttlebug folder and Marvy le Plume pens.

DCM Challenge - Feeling Green

This is Jozza's dare:-

Feeling Green

I want to see lots of green on your cards in any shade you like. You could even do a double dare and make a green themed get well card. It's up to you.

Papers are Laura Ashley and DCWV textured cardstock. I drew around a large chipboard flower for the base of the flower decoration and doodled the edges, added ribbon and a couple of flowers and the whole thing is held together with a brad. Get Well Soon stamp is by Studio G and Ive decorated the scallops with liquid pearls.

DCM Challenge - Oriental Splendour

Oriental Splendour

I would like you to make a card with an Oriental influence and the ‘Take Away’ I referred to is the twist in the tail.

When ever Oriental is mentioned most people, including myself immediately reach for Red and Black so I’m taking them away from you and removing them from the pallet of colours that you can use on your card.

So to recap:- I dare you to make an Oriental themed card which doesn’t use Red or Black.

This is my 2nd take on the dare and I'm really pleased with it. Papers are by K & Co. and DCWV Oriental Stack. Stamps are by Inkadinkado (main image) and Oriental Script is from a set of clear stamps that I have but unfortunately I don't know who made them, sorry! And I can't make a card these days without the card candy from Craftwork Cards - they are just perfect for putting that finishing touch to a card or project.

And this card was my 1st take on the dare - I quite like the card but it was lacking something and I didn't know what. My thinking behind it was if I can't use red and black I'll use blue and white like on the "Willow Pattern". Papers are DCWV-Oriental Stack, stamps are by Inkadinkado and the "un-named" clear ones for the background, finished with Prima flowers, card candy and a chinese coin.

I enjoyed the dare this week - it really got the grey matter working. Thank you.

New Clear Stamps from Craftwork Cards

Ive been "playing" all week with the new Clear Stamps by Craftwork Cards. They're absolutely fantastic. The quality is exceptional. They give a clear, crisp image and clean up so very easily. Staz-on cleans off with baby wipes!!! Never known that before. Anyway Ive made quite a few cards for Sue to look at - don't know what's happening with them just yet but here's a sneak preview of 2 of my favourite ones.
