Some Patti Picklicious Cards

Just thought I'd share a few more cards that I have made using the Patti Picklicious CD - I haven't shown any for quite a while so thought it was about time I did. I never tire of using these wonderful papers they are so versatile. Hope you like them.

I love the chandelier image it's just great to 'bling' up!

The next two cards feature the wonderful butterflies.

These 'Flower Trees' are so easy to make - just use a circle punch for each of the petals... and look some more butterflies!

Don't know where this next design came from - I just love the vibrant colours and wanted to make a sort of collage - it's not really my style but I still love it for some strange reason lol.

I just thought I'd best add this Edit to say that I haven't made all of these cards today! Cards 1 and 3 have already been on the Patti Picklicious Blog but I haven't shown them here. The others are what I've made more recently.

Picklicious Cards

I haven't shown any of my creations from the Patti Picklicious CD of late so thought it was time to add a couple.

Ive used Microsoft Word a lot for manipuating image sizes and printing out different sections from the CD so you don't have to have an expensive graphics program to be able to use it. If you upload any image into Word and right click (twice) onto it a box appears that will enable you to format the picture. The first part of this box is the Crop Section which enables you to crop from left, right, top and bottom. So you can actually pick a certain part of the image and once cropped it can be made to any size you want just by clicking on one of the corners of the picture and dragging it to make it larger or smaller.

This is how I made the "birthday" section on the first card. It's from the shaped motifs section and I made it large enough to cut out and punch holes in the tabs and thread ribbon through. Ive also printed the "happy" over the top of a pre-printed sheet.

I'm just amazed by all the different techniques and the styles of cards that have been made from this first CD. So go along and check them all out here and see what you think.

DCM Challenge - Ready Steady Cook!

This week the dare is set by Kathy:-

So this dare is my take on that theme - I'll tell you the ingredients you have to use, then all you have to do is make the card.

Here are your ingredients:

3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice

Papers are by Daisy Bucket, chipboard swirl (stamped with moonlight white Brilliance Ink Pad and covered with opaque white embossing powder), ribbon and button from stash. I think I might have gone a bit OTT on the extras though - flower, lettering cut out on my Quickutz Silhouette, the beautiful chandelier from Patti Picklicious CD and loads of tiny beads and stickles for decoration. Oh and the DCWV co-ordinating textured cardstock! Does this qualify lol? Loved the challenge as usual.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

I've had a few requests for cards this week so I thought I'd share them with you.

Ive used a beautiful new stamp from Whipper Snapper - isn't she just soooo cute? Papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle and the sentiment is computer generated. And I just had to add my favourite prima flowers!!

Prima flowers again and the papers are by K&Co.

I love the colours on this card. Paper is from Kirsty Wisemans Patti Picklicious CD. Main image is a Magnolia Stamp, the music stamp is by Blade Rubber Stamps and I can't remember where I got the other stamp from but its great for milestone birthdays as you can write the number on it and there's a space for the recipients name to be added. Ive also used card candy from Craftwork Cards - the only jewels you can use on a man's card lol.

Papers are by 3Bugs in a Rug and image is a Penny Black Stickeroo. Ive used this design a few times now (a friend gave me a scrapbooking sketch from Pencil Lines and challenged me to make a card from it). I was so happy with what I made that it has now become a firm favourite.

Same design as above using K&Co papers and another Penny Black Stickeroo!

This card was also inspired by a Pencil Lines sketch - papers are by DCWV (blossoms and butterflies), yet more Stickeroos and I've cut the wording and flourish out on my Quickutz Silhouette.

All co-ordinating cardstock Ive used is either DCWV or Bazzill and all card blanks are from Craftwork Cards.

DCM Challenge - All things Circular!

This is Vanessa's dare:-

This week, the title says it all - I want to see lots of circles, you can decide how you use them, whether it be the shape of your card or how you display circular elements within the design and thats it, nice and simple (I hope :-)).

This week I was making a 'man' card using Kirsty Wiseman's Patti Picklicious CD and it just so happened that it fits the bill perfectly for this week's challenge too. Ive used the Mucky Knees - Gumball and Spots papers. Not bad to say it doesn't have any 'flowers' on it lol. There is a pink version of these papers on the CD called Choc Fudge Sundae so you could put 'MUM' through the centre and add a flower to each of the other circles - might have a go with that later.

Patti Picklicious Samples

These are a few of the samples I have made from the New Patti Picklicious CD. Kirsty has added more samples to her blog and you can see them all here. Ive got to say I can't put this CD down . The papers are amazing and the good thing is - if you make a mistake - just print out another sheet. It's also very versatile and the papers can be used for any number of occasions. I'm working on a man's card at the moment (always the hardest) and am making loads and loads of flowers. I love making flowers - will show some soon when I decide what I'm doing with them lol.
