Rosie-Dee's Challenge Wk 50 - Neapolitan Ice Cream Colours

The colours of Neapolitan Ice Cream is the theme over at Rosie-Dee's this week. I bought this stamp from my local craft shop - The Craft Box at Elsecar Heritage Centre - and there were some gorgeous samples of cards on display so I've taken my inspiration for this card from them.

Allsorts Challenge 16 - No Stamped Image

I can't believe I was picked as last week's winner over at Allsorts... so I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all and let you know I'm really chuffed to bits :-) Thanks!

So onto this week and Amanda has set the challenge of "No Stamped Image"

I ended up making a couple of cards as I printed off some images from Pink Petticoat and they made the quickest cards ever! I just love these 2 images and there's even more characters in the collection - well worth the investment. No need to think about image or sentiment it's all there in one.

I printed the images onto bright white card stock from Craftwork Cards and then coloured them with Copics. Usually I find the colour of the printer ink bleeds a little but I didn't have that problem at all this these!

DCM Challenge - Give them an Inchie!

Sue has set the following dare this week at Daring Cardmakers:-

So my dare this week is to make inchies and put just five of them on your card.

There’s no set theme, colour or shape, I’m just intrigued to see how many different ways you can arrange the five tiny squares.

I recently bought a set of "'inchie" type clear stamps called Winter Wonderland by Inkadinkado so this dare was just perfect for me to try them out.

I really struggled with the arrangement of the 5 squares until I had a brain wave to add another element to even things up!

To make the Inchies I used Staz On to stamp the images, then coloured them with Distress Inks (Broken China and Pine Needles). I then heat embossed the edges with Gold embossing powder, added some more colour using Copics and a white Souffle pen, then finished off with Swarovski crystals and Stickles.

This is the first time I have ever made inchies and I must say I really, really enjoyed it. They are quite time consuming but well worth the effort.

Carol's Sketch Fun #13

Another fantastic sketch to follow over on Carol's Sketch Fun:-

I've made two cards with this sketch:-

For the first one I've used some lovely papers from the Patti Picklicious CD and I've layered 3 circles (cut out using Nestabilities) matted onto a circle of black card that has been embossed using the herringbone Cuttlebug Folder. Finished off with a flower sentiment from Craftwork Cards, Faux Stitching, Stickles and some paper pricking down the right hand side.

My second card is using Craftwork Card's new Christmas Papers (Candy Cane) and Colour Me Ovals (Noel), I've used Bazzill Card Stock for the matting and layering, added Swarovski Crystals, Ribbon, Stickles and Faux Stitching. Shapes cut out using Nestabilities.

ICSketches #31

This is the sketch that Dawn's designed for this week's ICS challenge:-

I'm a bit disappointed with how the card looks on the photograph - it looks kind of bland and boring but it actually does look a lot better than this in reality - they say the camera never lies though....mmmmm

The stamp is one of my new Penny Black ones called "...first day of christmas" but I guess you could use this one all year round. It's coloured with Copics and matted and layered onto Bazzill Card Stock. Greeting is by Craftwork Cards and that's mounted onto a ribbon tag cut out using a Spelbinders Shapeabilities die.
