DCM Challenge - Bunnies and Chicks

This week's challenge is set by Jo:-

With Easter nearly here - doesn't time fly! I thought that I would choose a dare this week to incorporate this...
I would like this week to see cards with a chick, a bunny or both!

I'm a little late in posting this week, just don't know where the time goes these days!!

Anyway this is my card it looks a bit like I feel at the moment a bit DOTTY lol.

All the papers are scraps from my stash, the image is a Penny Black clear stamp that Ive coloured in using copics (first time Ive used them), rub ons by Melissa Frances and finished of with a bit of felt ribbon by American Crafts, punched out hearts and the felt Easter Egg is from Tesco!

Oh no - The BIG 50!!!

I'm celebrating my 50th Birthday today. I wasn't going to mention it but as I have received some gorgeous handmade cards I just had to share them all with you. I'd like to say a big thankyou to you all for taking the time to make them for me.

The first card I want to show you is very very special - its been made by Abbi-Leigh Hill - Age 5. I think this is absolutely gorgeous Abbi you are a very clever girl. I love it!

DCM Challenge - Cos I'm a Woman!

This is the Dare set by Tracie this week:-

I want the focus of your cards to be the girls. It can be any style, any theme, and any recipient - as long as she is female.

I really am into pink and green lately but it is such a lovely colour combo.

Ive used the lovely papers from the Patti Picklicious CD, a Penny Black Stickeroo for the image and the sentiment is by K & Co. Flowers are by Prima and I think the large white one is by Making Memories and I found a half used packet of lovely bright pink skeleton leaves (by Anitas) when I was sorting out my sewing box! - perfect.

Loved the dare Tracie - I like girly cards lol.

The Patti Picklicious CD is going to be available from the 27th March and is being demonstrated by Kirsty at the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza at Harrogate on the 28th/29th March. I really can't recommend the papers and designs enough - I'm sooooo enjoying using them they are fabby.

DCM Challenge - Ready Steady Cook!

This week the dare is set by Kathy:-

So this dare is my take on that theme - I'll tell you the ingredients you have to use, then all you have to do is make the card.

Here are your ingredients:

3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice

Papers are by Daisy Bucket, chipboard swirl (stamped with moonlight white Brilliance Ink Pad and covered with opaque white embossing powder), ribbon and button from stash. I think I might have gone a bit OTT on the extras though - flower, lettering cut out on my Quickutz Silhouette, the beautiful chandelier from Patti Picklicious CD and loads of tiny beads and stickles for decoration. Oh and the DCWV co-ordinating textured cardstock! Does this qualify lol? Loved the challenge as usual.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

I've had a few requests for cards this week so I thought I'd share them with you.

Ive used a beautiful new stamp from Whipper Snapper - isn't she just soooo cute? Papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle and the sentiment is computer generated. And I just had to add my favourite prima flowers!!

Prima flowers again and the papers are by K&Co.

I love the colours on this card. Paper is from Kirsty Wisemans Patti Picklicious CD. Main image is a Magnolia Stamp, the music stamp is by Blade Rubber Stamps and I can't remember where I got the other stamp from but its great for milestone birthdays as you can write the number on it and there's a space for the recipients name to be added. Ive also used card candy from Craftwork Cards - the only jewels you can use on a man's card lol.

Papers are by 3Bugs in a Rug and image is a Penny Black Stickeroo. Ive used this design a few times now (a friend gave me a scrapbooking sketch from Pencil Lines and challenged me to make a card from it). I was so happy with what I made that it has now become a firm favourite.

Same design as above using K&Co papers and another Penny Black Stickeroo!

This card was also inspired by a Pencil Lines sketch - papers are by DCWV (blossoms and butterflies), yet more Stickeroos and I've cut the wording and flourish out on my Quickutz Silhouette.

All co-ordinating cardstock Ive used is either DCWV or Bazzill and all card blanks are from Craftwork Cards.

DCM Challenge - It's a patchy one!

This weeks dare is:-

I want you to be inspired by patchwork and make a patchwork looking card.

Here's my take on it:-

Ive used scraps of Basic Grey (sultry) and Little Yellow Bycycle papers for this one mounted onto co-ordinating cardstock. Images are Penny Black Stickeroos - great for when you want a lovely image but haven't got the time to stamp and colour. I love stickeroos - they're not expensive and you get a fantastic selection of images on each sheet. Stamped messages are from a Clear Design set by Hero Arts.

A Little Workshop and Challenge by Nancy

There's a little workshop and challenge on Nancy's blog at the moment and I just had to have a go. I absolutely love Nancy's creations - she is such an inspiration. This is my card.
